This YouTube video shows tools that you will need when you begin to make beaded jewelry. Following the video you’ll find a summary of the tools that are shown.

Basic Tools:

Measuring tape
Small sharp pair of scissors
Beading board
Zip-lock bags (with white block for labeling)

Different stringing mediums may call for additional tools:

When using memory wire:
Wire cutters from hardware store or memory-wire cutters from craft store (not beading-wire cutters)
Will also use needle-nose pliers or Hypo Cement to secure ends

Beading wire: (Soft-flex brand):
Crimping tool (patented)
Wire cutters (come to fine point to get between beads)

Silk:
Knotting tweezers that come to a fine point
PVC piping and masking tape to stretch silk
Hypo Cement

Leather
Needle-nose pliers and Hypo Cement

Optional: bead reamer (not for glass beads)

Focus on one type of beaded jewelry initially to keep costs down.
